On the international day for Yoga, we want to take the opportunity to reiterate the benefits of the practice of Yoga. Our ancestors have been practicing Yoga for thousands of years. It was one of the corner stone of our healthcare system. It is really interesting to see United Nations to declare June 21st as the International Day of Yoga. It is a testament to the benefits of Yoga as well as its international acceptability.
In the past we have covered various aspects of Yoga and in this post we want to revisit some of them.
In July last year, we wrote a short post on how to get started with Yoga. These three simple steps would help you consider taking up Yoga, if you have not already done so.
In June last year, Archana Venkat, wrote this piece about 5 hacks from Yoga that will help you get started with nutrition. She talks about Calorie Counting, Portion Sizes and tips on how you use water, something that many of our ancestors have been using for long. Hopefully these tips will help you eating right.
Finally if you looking to travel, you have to read this piece on top destinations for Yoga in India. Excellent post and hopefully it will help you decide on some travel destinations.
To our health and wishing you a very happy international day for Yoga.
