This week Bangalore will witness the 2nd Smart Tech Healthcare Summit 2018 at the Grant Hyatt/Movenpick Hotel on the 1st and 2nd of February. The theme of the summit this year is
” Streamlining New Horizons of Technology in Healthcare”
The summit provides a common platform for the industry and other stakeholders to come together to discuss the key challenges, learn from the best practices adopted across the country and ensure their firm is positioned to comply with digital health trends in the evolving industry.
Despite some advances, India’s healthcare industry must deal with a plethora of challenges such as “reluctance to change and experimentation, poor knowledge and skill sets, infrastructure and finance requirements and the interoperability of various technologies”. The focus of this thematic area is to facilitate the use of Connected Health — telemedicine, wearables, apps, self-diagnosis tools which have the potential to strengthen the patient-physician connection and improve health outcomes in all sorts of technology-enabled ways.
With the success of the first annual Smart Tech Healthcare focused on “redefining healthcare with IT” which attracted more than 250 attendees, 45 speakers, 8 supporting associations, the 2nd Annual Smart Tech Healthcare 2018 is projected to be even big with more than 350 attendees which will include the most diverse gathering of public sector, health and technology industry leaders working at the intersection of innovative product and service development, research, business and policy throughout the world. Building thought leadership across the ecosystem, this year’s conference focuses on an increasingly business & consumer oriented, technology-enabled and collaborative approach towards improving digital health.
Attendees will have the unique opportunity to learn and develop skills that can be immediately applied to the adoption and implementation of digital health as well as healthcare settings. The format of the event will include components such as keynotes, panel discussions, interactive sessions, B2B meetings, masterclass and the dynamic exhibit floor focusing on new research and actionable knowledge such as best practices, lessons learned and conclusive case studies.
Our founder editor Dr Vikram Venkateswaran would be at the summit, chairing a panel on Digital Health/Connected Care and speaking on how ” If Blockchain is the right technology to transform healthcare in India”
